Core principles
OUISTARS Travel Magazine seeks accuracy, independence, fairness, transparency and respect. We correct material errors, distinguish fact from analysis and avoid presenting unverified allegations as established truth.
Conflicts of interest
Editors and contributors should disclose financial, professional, personal or travel-industry relationships that could reasonably affect a reader’s assessment of their work. A relevant conflict must be declared or the assignment reassigned.
Travel, gifts and hospitality
Complimentary travel, accommodation, access, meals or products do not guarantee coverage or favourable treatment. Material support connected to an article must be disclosed. Editorial conclusions remain with the publication.
Discrimination and safety
Coverage must not blame or stigmatise people because of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or migration status. Public-policy, safety and security questions may be examined rigorously while preserving accuracy, proportionality and human dignity.
Corrections and right of reply
Credible correction requests are reviewed under our corrections policy. People and organisations facing substantial criticism should be approached for comment when practicable.
