Paris — 28 September 2026. Paris Fashion Week® opened today with the first womenswear shows and presentations for Spring/Summer 2027. The official programme runs until 6 October, bringing nine days of runway appointments, presentations, cultural events and intense cross-city movement. This verified guide separates what is confirmed, what is invitation-only and what visitors can still follow publicly.

AT A GLANCE

Dates: 28 September–6 October 2026
Season: Womenswear Ready-to-Wear, Spring/Summer 2027
Official organiser: Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM)
Access: most physical shows and presentations are by invitation; selected events are livestreamed or published digitally.

Paris Fashion Week 2026: what happens today

The final FHCM calendar lists a compact opening afternoon. Julie Kegels begins at 14:30, followed by Fidan Novruzova from 15:00 to 18:30, KIMHĒKIM from 15:30 to 18:00, Weinsanto at 16:00, Vautrait from 16:30 to 19:00, Maxhosa Africa at 17:00, Hodakova at 18:00 and Matières Fécales at 19:00. The physical appointments are marked as invitation-only; films are scheduled to appear later on the official platform.

The evening programme also includes L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé — Express Your Worth from 21:00. Times and formats can change, so the live FHCM programme should remain the final reference.

The next key appointments

Tuesday 29 September

The official calendar begins at 10:00 with Ester Manas, alongside presentations by Alexandra Golovanoff and Ganni. Christian Dior is scheduled for 14:30, Maison Margiela for 17:30 and Saint Laurent for 21:00. The calendar marks selected shows for livestreaming, while other content is published digitally after the event.

Wednesday 30 September

Among the headline appointments are Courrèges at 10:30, Balmain at 13:30, Dries Van Noten at 15:00, Stella McCartney at 16:00, Acne Studios at 18:30 and Tom Ford at 20:00. The SPHERE showroom also opens at the Palais de Tokyo on 30 September and runs through 6 October, supporting emerging designers selected by FHCM.

For the remaining days, use the final official calendar; it is more reliable than screenshots or reposted schedules.

Can the public attend?

Paris Fashion Week is not a single ticketed festival. Most runway shows and professional presentations are private and require an invitation or accreditation. Public access usually comes through official livestreams, digital films, museum programmes, brand activations and separately announced events. A social-media post does not constitute admission. Never pay an unofficial seller for a “guaranteed” invitation.

Transport: the confirmed disruption that matters

There is no single citywide road-closure notice covering the whole Fashion Week. Show addresses and security arrangements vary, so travellers should verify the venue printed on their invitation and check live traffic shortly before departure.

One important confirmed change falls inside Fashion Week: Metro line 6 will be fully closed on Sunday 4 October for the entire day because of modernisation works. RATP says replacement buses will operate between Charles de Gaulle–Étoile and La Motte-Picquet–Grenelle, with bus line 71 reinforced. Consult the official RATP notice before travelling.

A practical plan for visitors and professionals

  • Use the invitation, not memory: verify the exact entrance, arrondissement and arrival time for every appointment.
  • Cluster meetings by area: crossing Paris repeatedly is the main source of delay.
  • Allow a buffer: security checks, pedestrian congestion and last-minute venue operations can add time.
  • Keep two routes: save a public-transport route and a road-based alternative.
  • Separate official access from public activity: a crowded venue exterior does not mean a show is open to the public.
  • Check again on 4 October: the full closure of line 6 may affect routes around Trocadéro, Bir-Hakeim, Montparnasse and the southern arc of central Paris.

Where the public-facing atmosphere is strongest

The Tuileries–Rue Saint-Honoré–Place Vendôme corridor, the Palais de Tokyo and western Paris, the Marais and central luxury districts often see increased fashion-related activity. These are not universal show locations: the official address for each appointment remains the only dependable destination.
