Two days can hold useful meetings and a memorable Paris visit, provided you stop treating the city as a checklist. Fix the commitments that cannot move, then build a compact itinerary around them. The spare hour is part of the plan, not a planning failure.

Before arrival: fix the immovable details

Record meeting addresses, start times and the return flight before choosing the hotel. Confirm room readiness and luggage storage for an early arrival. Scheduled landing is not arrival at the office: airport procedures, bags and the onward journey are separate stages.

Compare official RATP airport routes with road transport for your destination and luggage. For a reserved car, supply the flight and a reachable phone number, and request meeting and waiting terms. Keep the confirmation accessible without mobile data.

Day one morning: arrive, reset, then meet

Use the first interval for bags, changing and a simple meal if needed. Place the important meeting where the arrival allows a reasonable margin. If the hotel is far from the office, a direct journey with luggage arrangements agreed in advance may be better than travelling back and forth.

Confirm the actual entrance, host and building-access requirements. An invitation’s postal address may not explain where visitors enter or which floor they need. For a team, appoint one contact and share the same instructions rather than letting each guest search for the others.

Day one evening: make dinner serve the occasion

Choose a restaurant near the last appointment or the hotel. For business discussion, ask about noise, table layout or a suitable room and meal duration. For a social dinner, give conversation room rather than imposing a long presentation or menu that does not suit the group.

Confirm numbers, dietary requirements, drinks budget and payment arrangements. Ask about minimum spending for a private room. A separate room does not guarantee sound insulation or confidential conversation; check those practical details with the venue.

Day two: one meeting, then one neighbourhood

If the diary permits, hold the second meeting in the morning and give the afternoon to one district. For shopping, Montaigne, Vendôme or Saint-Honoré can each anchor a programme. Do not attempt several distant areas and major sights in a short gap.

For a museum or cultural visit, check opening, tickets and the route. Choose one experience that you can enjoy rather than promising unreserved admission. Keep a realistic indoor alternative for poor weather that does not require rebuilding the whole day.

A chauffeur by the hour or separate transfers?

For fixed appointments close together, separate journeys or public transport may suit. Changing stops and luggage can make an hourly car worth considering. Compare service hours, waiting, stops and capacity rather than only the model pictured in the offer.

A hotel-arranged car, taxis or ride-hailing, and a directly reserved operator such as OUISTARS are different options. Each needs clear terms. A chauffeur cannot remove traffic or parking rules, so agree a practical meeting point at each stop.

Finish with a simple departure

Leave time to collect luggage and reach the airport or railway station according to operator instructions. Ask the hotel about storage and any changing or rest facilities you need. Late checkout is not guaranteed simply because your flight leaves in the evening.

A good two-day itinerary can absorb a change without falling apart. Keep one main commitment per interval and optional experiences around it. For planning and transport enquiries, send OUISTARS the addresses, times and party details; reservations remain subject to availability and confirmation.

Practical questions before travelling

Are two days enough for business and sightseeing?

For a small number of meetings and one or two experiences, yes; not for every Paris landmark.

Do I need a car for the whole day?

It depends on stops, bags and flexibility. Compare hourly service with separate journeys.

Can a meeting start just after landing?

Do not rely on that. Allow for arrival procedures, bags and the onward journey.

For a private itinerary, arrival or transfer, ask OUISTARS about available services and their terms before confirming a booking.
