A photograph may start an enquiry, but it should not settle a buttock augmentation decision. BBL, skin lifting, implants and filler injections are different procedures. A Paris–Turkey comparison must establish what is proposed and its risks before the promised shape or discount.
Name the procedure
Fat transfer moves fat from another area to increase or reshape volume. Skin lifting and implants are different options. Request the precise procedure and whether liposuction or other surgery is included, with a reason for each part.
Greater volume is not automatically a better goal. Discuss realistic limits and the option of no surgery. Suitability depends on the surgeon’s assessment, not a booking coordinator or magazine article.
Discuss BBL safety explicitly
ASPS and partner societies identify significant risks in gluteal fat grafting, including fatal fat embolism. Their statement supports real-time ultrasound to check the injection plane. Ask about the surgeon’s protocol and experience; possession of a machine does not guarantee safety.
Establish who performs critical stages, who follows you and where an emergency transfer would go. No single complication percentage is supplied for all providers: statistics need technique, population and date context.
Do not confuse fat transfer and other injectables
The US FDA warns against fillers for breast or buttock enlargement and does not approve injectable silicone for aesthetic procedures. This describes US regulation, not automatic legal status for every product in France or Turkey.
For any proposed substance, request its identity and authorisation for the intended use in the destination. Non-surgical is not a safety guarantee, and liquid silicone injection is not the same as a medical implant.
Compare a named surgeon and facility
Meet the operating surgeon and identify the facility, anaesthesia and follow-up arrangements. Verify French registration and specialty, or Turkish health-tourism authorisation alongside the surgeon’s individual qualifications. A country-wide quality verdict is not justified.
France requires at least 15 days’ reflection after the cosmetic-surgery quote. Arrange consultation and thinking time before a trip that makes withdrawal difficult. A signed form cannot replace understanding.
Cost the recovery, not only the package
Separate surgery, anaesthesia, facility, garments and reviews from hotels and transfers. Ask about extended accommodation, a companion, insurance and treatment after returning home. Those items change any apparent saving.
NHS information explains that some transferred fat may be reabsorbed and results develop over months; fat necrosis, bleeding and infection are possible. Obtain personal instructions for sitting, activity and travel, not a universal flight date.
Five questions before a deposit
What exactly is proposed? Who operates? What safety protocol applies? Who examines me after returning? Who pays for additional treatment? Keep the answers with the quote and medical records.
This guide neither assumes combined breast and buttock surgery is suitable nor recommends a clinic. Personal assessment and informed consent come before tourist arrangements.

Does BBL mean a skin lift?
The common term refers to fat transfer to the buttocks, not necessarily removal and lifting of skin.
Does ultrasound eliminate risk?
No. It is part of safety measures to discuss, not a guarantee against complications.
Are non-surgical injections automatically safe?
No. Substance, authorised use, practitioner and specific risks need checking.
