Monaco Yacht Show 2026: What the Numbers Reveal—and How to Plan 2027

The verified 2026 results, what they reveal about the superyacht market, and a practical early-planning guide for Monaco Yacht Show 2027.

Updated 16 October 2026. The 35th Monaco Yacht Show has closed, but its figures are more useful than a glossy recap. They show what buyers, charter clients, designers and curious visitors should expect when the event returns to Port Hercule from 22 to 25 September 2027.

The 2026 edition brought together 118 superyachts, 50 delivered during the year, 72 tenders and 560 exhibitors. Organisers reported 30,678 visitors, including 13,368 private guests invited by exhibitors and 648 pre-qualified VIP guests. Those numbers explain both the event’s value and its difficulty: Monaco concentrates an entire market in one harbour, but a productive visit depends on preparation.

Indicator Official 2026 result What it means
Fleet 118 superyachts; 50 delivered in 2026 A large share of the display represented the newest available thinking in design and construction.
Scale Average length 47.5m; largest yacht 111m The show is centred on the superyacht market, not a general leisure-boat fair.
Market value Estimated €4.5bn fleet value Appointments and access are commercial, selective and often arranged in advance.
Industry 560 exhibitors Shipyards, brokers, designers, managers, equipment specialists and refit providers share the same venue.
Visitors 30,678 Walking time, security checks and meeting buffers must be built into the day.
Transition 60 validated Blue Wake solutions; 6 award winners Environmental claims are increasingly expected to be demonstrated, not merely advertised.

What the 2026 fleet revealed

The most important figure may be the 50 yachts delivered in 2026. A show dominated by recent deliveries lets clients compare layouts, engineering choices and onboard priorities while the decisions are still current. The fleet ranged up to 111 metres, yet the value of the visit was not simply size. It was the chance to move between builders, designers, brokers and technical specialists without turning the research into several separate trips.

The official review also identified a second direction: refit. Fifteen displayed yachts had been refitted during the previous three years. With near-term construction slots limited at major yards, upgrading an existing yacht is becoming a strategic alternative rather than a secondary topic. Monaco will give that field its own event, The Future of Refit, at the Grimaldi Forum from 31 March to 2 April 2027.

What visitors should understand before 2027

A ticket does not guarantee every yacht visit

Yacht access is controlled by the exhibiting shipyards and brokers. A visitor pass opens the show; it does not automatically open every gangway. Anyone travelling with a purchase, charter or design brief should contact relevant exhibitors before arrival and send a concise profile of the project.

The first day may follow different access rules

In 2026, the Dockside Area was restricted on Wednesday for private clients and qualifying guests, while general visitor access expanded from Thursday. The 2027 ticket structure has not yet been published. Treat the 2026 rules and prices as archived information, not as a promise for the next edition.

The harbour is compact, but the day is not

Port Hercule looks walkable on a map. During the show, security, queues, meetings and movements between quays make every transition longer. A realistic schedule leaves at least 20 to 30 minutes between appointments and avoids placing the most important meeting immediately after arrival from Nice.

How to plan Monaco Yacht Show 2027

The official dates are Wednesday 22 to Saturday 25 September 2027. Ticket sales, pass conditions, opening hours and the 2027 traffic plan were not published at the time of this update. Use the dates to reserve cancellable accommodation, but wait for the organiser and the Principality to publish operational details before locking in transport assumptions.

  1. Six to nine months before: define the purpose of the visit—purchase, charter, refit, design, supplier meetings or editorial coverage.
  2. Three months before: shortlist exhibitors and yachts; request appointments with a clear brief.
  3. When ticketing opens: buy only through the official Monaco Yacht Show channel and check which zones your pass covers.
  4. Two weeks before: review Monaco’s temporary traffic orders, rail notices and the show map.
  5. The day before: reconfirm appointments and save tickets, addresses and contact numbers offline.

Three ways to reach Port Hercule

Option Best for Watch for
TER train from Nice Travellers with light luggage who want to avoid road congestion Crowding, engineering works and the uphill or downhill walk between the station and harbour
Pre-booked road transfer Guests carrying documents or luggage, or moving between meetings Temporary road controls, drop-off restrictions and peak-hour delays
Stay in Monaco and walk Visitors with several consecutive show days Higher room rates and early sell-outs; choose location as carefully as hotel category

There is no universally superior option. The correct choice depends on luggage, appointment time, mobility needs and the traffic measures published for 2027.

A disciplined one-day plan

Use the morning for the two meetings that matter most. Reserve midday for one technical or design area rather than trying to cross the entire exhibition. Keep the final hours flexible for a yacht visit confirmed on the day, a follow-up conversation or a delayed transfer. Photographing every vessel produces a crowded camera roll; recording decisions, names and next actions produces a useful visit.

Who will benefit most?

  • Buyers and charter clients with a defined size, programme and budget range.
  • Owners studying refit, management or operational alternatives.
  • Designers, suppliers and advisers with confirmed meetings.
  • Visitors prepared to learn from the industry without assuming access to every yacht.

It is less suitable for an improvised sightseeing stop. The harbour remains visually impressive, but the paid show is a professional marketplace with controlled access.

Frequently asked questions

When is Monaco Yacht Show 2027?

The organiser has announced 22–25 September 2027 at Port Hercule.

Are 2027 tickets on sale?

Not at the time of this review. Check the official ticket page rather than relying on a reseller or an old 2026 price.

Can a visitor board every yacht?

No. Boarding remains at the discretion of exhibitors, shipyards and brokers, and appointments are often required.

Should I drive from Nice?

Only after reviewing the current traffic plan and arranging parking or a drop-off. The train may be simpler, while a booked road transfer can be useful when timing, luggage or mobility matters.

Can I reuse the 2026 road-closure map?

No. The 2026 decrees expired after the event infrastructure was removed. Wait for Monaco’s official 2027 orders.

Before choosing a hotel: Nice, Cannes or Monaco: choosing where to stay.
