Editor-in-Chief | Last reviewed: 6 September 2026
Osama Samaha is Editor-in-Chief of oui stars Travel. He is a journalist and author with professional experience spanning the Gulf region, the Middle East and Europe.
He holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Communication from the École Supérieure de Journalisme de Paris (ESJ Paris), academic year 2023–2024. He is the author of the book في انتظار مصر (Waiting for Egypt), published in 2025.
His editorial analysis focuses on the intersection of travel, tourism economy, international investment, luxury, real estate, hospitality, education, technology and destination development. His work uses reliable and independent sources and clearly distinguishes verified facts from editorial analysis.
The editorial thesis
Tourism is not only the movement of people. It is the movement of people, capital, talent, culture and opportunity.
A destination does not create its greatest value at the moment of arrival. It creates value when a journey becomes a relationship.
The Visitor-to-Investor Economy
oui stars Travel uses the Visitor-to-Investor Economy as an editorial framework for investigating how destinations convert attention into long-term economic connection:
Visitor → Repeat visitor → Long-stay visitor → Student or business traveller → Second-home owner → Entrepreneur → Investor → Long-term relationship
This is not a promise that every tourist becomes an investor. Most will not. It is a way to ask what conventional arrival statistics miss. A family that returns annually, a student who builds a career, an executive who establishes a company, or a traveller who buys a home can create a different economic relationship from a single short stay.
The framework also asks difficult questions. Which destinations preserve trust after the first visit? Can housing, transport, safety and administration support longer relationships? Does investment benefit residents? When does a destination attract capital at the cost of affordability or social consent?
A bridge between Europe, the Gulf and global capital
France is the principal editorial laboratory because it combines global tourism, luxury, culture, education, real estate, hospitality and protected heritage at unusual scale. It is not the only model. Signed analysis compares France with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, Asia and Africa when the comparison is supported by evidence.
The purpose is not to declare one market superior. It is to understand why capital, talent and travellers move; what destinations compete to offer; and where ambition collides with licensing, planning, climate, labour, infrastructure or public acceptance.

What a signed feature must contain
Every Editor-in-Chief feature must start with an original question and build its argument from verifiable evidence. Data should be dated and scoped. Announcements must not be confused with deployed capital. Company claims must be attributed. Forecasts must be labelled. Personal analysis must remain distinguishable from fact.
| Test | Editorial requirement |
|---|---|
| Originality | An idea or framework worth quoting, not a familiar opinion restated. |
| Executive value | A chief executive, investor or destination leader should learn something usable. |
| Challenge | Risks, contradictions and competing evidence receive serious treatment. |
| International relevance | Comparison clarifies the argument rather than decorating it. |
| Durability | The article should retain intellectual value after the news cycle. |
Editorial independence
No paid inclusion can determine an independent conclusion. No project receives praise because of commercial access. Sponsored work, if accepted, must be labelled clearly and separated from editorial selection. Osama Samaha is not presented as a licensed financial adviser; investment articles are analysis, not individualized legal, tax or investment advice.
Authority also requires correction. If an official figure changes, a licence is denied, a project is cancelled or evidence contradicts an earlier assumption, the record should be updated visibly rather than defended for appearance.
