Current examples include a 35 m² Superior Room with courtyard view, a 40 m² Executive Room and 45 m² Deluxe categories with courtyard, city or garden outlook depending on the precise label.
The lesson is not that one category is best. It is that Palace service does not remove the need to book the right space and view.
Cheval Blanc Paris: contemporary city and Seine context
Cheval Blanc Paris belongs to the 2026 list and occupies a central Seine-side setting. Its official room material distinguishes winter gardens, balconies and panoramas across categories. It appeals to travellers who want contemporary design, river proximity and an integrated luxury environment. Confirm outdoor space, room relationship and view rather than expecting all rooms to deliver the same river scene.
Mandarin Oriental Lutetia Paris: Left Bank identity
The 2026 list uses the name Mandarin Oriental Lutetia Paris. Its Saint-Germain setting gives it a different urban rhythm from the Avenue Montaigne and Champs-Élysées corridor. The address can matter as much as the service label, especially for a guest whose days centre on the Left Bank.

The Palace premium: pay for systems you will use
The premium becomes rational when the hotel replaces several layers of friction: complex restaurant planning, several vehicles, protected arrivals, garment care, last-minute programme changes, a celebration, children with different schedules, or a delegation needing a single accountable operation.
