Landing beside the sea is a memorable introduction to the Riviera. Finding the right onward journey should not undo it. Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco are different destinations, and your hotel’s exact address matters more than a broad regional label.

Decide where the journey ends

Send the full hotel or villa address, not just a town name. Antibes, Cap d’Antibes and Juan-les-Pins are not one drop-off point. In Cannes, your destination might be a hotel, a villa or a meeting near the Palais des Festivals. Plan the last part of the journey as carefully as the airport exit.

For Monaco, check the hotel’s recommended arrival entrance. The nearest station or bus stop may not put you outside reception. Travellers with limited mobility and families carrying several bags should examine that final section before choosing a ticket.

Confirm the terminal and flight

Check the arriving terminal on your booking and again in the flight information on travel day. Give the operator the flight number rather than relying on the airline name or memories of a previous visit. If the arrival terminal changes, update the meeting arrangements.

For a pre-arranged welcome, request a simple meeting-point description and a backup contact method. Keep the confirmation available offline and provide a number reachable in France. Ask what happens if the aircraft is delayed or checked baggage takes longer than expected.

Airport buses towards the Riviera

The airport’s official public-transport guide lists ZOU! services 80 for Monaco and Menton, 81 for Cannes, and 82 for Antibes and Vallauris. Check the appropriate terminal stop, current timetable and ticket method for your particular service.

Compare the destination stop with the hotel, not simply the town. A bus can work well when its schedule fits and the final connection is straightforward. A late arrival, bulky equipment or young children may change the balance in favour of a direct car.

Train travel: choose the right starting station

The airport’s rail access page identifies nearby Nice Saint-Augustin and the connection through Grand Arénas. Nice-Ville is a different station and route. Use the correct starting point when searching trains towards Cannes, Antibes or Monaco–Monte-Carlo.

Rail is not a door-to-door airport transfer. Include getting to the station, waiting for the train and reaching the hotel from the destination station. Check the actual departures and stops on your date, especially for evening arrivals or when works are planned.

Taxi or reserved chauffeur?

An official airport taxi and a pre-booked car are different arrangements. You can ask the hotel to organise a transfer or reserve directly with an operator. Request a written price and an explanation of waiting, parking, cancellation and possible additional charges.

Describe the luggage as well as the passengers. Four people with large cases and a pushchair need a realistic capacity check. Request suitable child seats in advance. A photograph of a desirable vehicle does not confirm the category, boot space or service included in your booking.

Business events, yachts and delegations

An airport arrival may connect to a meeting, a yacht departure or a scheduled hotel welcome. Give the organiser one arrival list, precise destinations and a lead contact. Decide whether cars should leave individually or wait for everyone, and who can change the plan when a guest is delayed.

For a yacht transfer, obtain the marina, berth and onboard contact rather than just the town. For an event, check access arrangements with the organiser. Road conditions, works and major events can affect the journey, so do not promise a fixed hotel-arrival time measured from touchdown.

Plan the return before the holiday takes over

Work back from the flight and airline instructions for the return journey. Do not simply repeat the arrival driving time: traffic, terminal and luggage needs may differ. Keep room for check-in and security, and tell the operator if the flight time changes.

For a France itinerary or transfer, ask OUISTARS about availability and a written service brief. An arrivals-hall welcome and ground transport do not automatically include restricted-area assistance or priority formalities. Confirm any special airport service separately under the applicable conditions.

Practical questions before travelling

Which railway station is near Nice Airport?

Nice Saint-Augustin is the nearby station described by the airport. Do not confuse it with Nice-Ville.

Are there buses to Cannes, Monaco and Antibes?

The airport lists 81 for Cannes, 80 for Monaco and Menton, and 82 for Antibes and Vallauris. Check current stops, tickets and schedules.

Should the driver meeting time equal landing time?

No. Allow for arrival formalities and baggage, and confirm the meeting and waiting arrangements.

For a private itinerary, arrival or transfer, ask OUISTARS about available services and their terms before confirming a booking.
