Monaco Yacht Show is not the largest boat show; it is the most concentrated market for the top end of ownership. From 23 to 26 September 2026, Port Hercule will place private clients, shipyards, brokers, designers, captains and advisers within walking distance of assets whose acquisition and operating decisions can mobilise millions.
The 35th edition expects 120 superyachts, more than 60 luxury tenders and over 560 exhibitors. The initial fleet includes 43 yachts delivered in 2026, while leading shipyard slots may already extend into 2028 or 2029. Scarcity makes near-term yachts, proven brokerage inventory and refit capacity especially valuable.

The 2026 fleet turns scarcity into a marketplace
The official list ranges from 2026 deliveries such as Lürssen’s 102-metre Nixie and Damen Yachting’s 80-metre Pangea to Sanlorenzo’s Silver Fox, Benetti’s B.Now series, Riva, Azimut, Princess, Sunreef and new sailing yachts from Ares, Nautor Swan and Vitters. Italian builders remain powerful, reflecting their major share of the global order book.
For a client, the value is comparison: build quality, volume, range, propulsion, crew circulation, charter potential and residual value can be discussed with the yards and brokers beside the yacht. For family offices, the show joins emotional purchase with legal, tax, governance and operating questions.
Who actually does business in Monaco?
The buyer may be an entrepreneur, principal, next-generation family member or adviser acting for them. Around that client sit brokers such as Burgess, Camper & Nicholsons, Edmiston and Fraser; builders including Benetti, Feadship, Lürssen, Damen, Oceanco and Sanlorenzo; wealth managers, lawyers, insurers, class societies, refit yards and yacht managers.
This network explains why a yacht is more than a purchase price. Crew, maintenance, berthing, compliance, fuel, connectivity, insurance and depreciation determine the ownership experience. Monaco enables the full advisory table to form quickly.
The Principality’s hotel and hospitality premium
Monaco has very limited land and premium rooms. Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hôtel Hermitage, Monte-Carlo Bay and Fairmont Monte Carlo become meeting infrastructure during show week. Suites, private dining rooms, terraces and cars often matter as much as exhibition stands.
Demand spills into Cap-d’Ail, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Èze, Menton and Nice. Helicopter transfers, chauffeurs, villa teams, security, interpreters and restaurant access become part of the business journey. Read our analysis of Monaco’s hospitality economy and our French Riviera 2026 guide.
Where the investment opportunities sit
Refit and documented efficiency
Hull coatings, hybridisation, hotel-load optimisation, water treatment and energy management can improve operating cost and resale value when performance is documented.
Brokerage intelligence
Accurate comparable sales, technical history and transparent running costs help family offices treat a yacht as a governed asset rather than a mystery.
Marinas and destinations
Large-yacht berths, shore power, waste systems, privacy and reliable service remain scarce around the Mediterranean. Premium marina infrastructure can unlock local hotel and restaurant spending.
Crew and human capital
Recruitment, training, retention, payroll and wellbeing determine service quality. Professional platforms and academies can build recurring revenue.
Charter and experience design
Owners increasingly need charter management, content, itineraries and shore experiences that protect the asset while generating utilisation.
How Monaco differs from Cannes
Cannes Yachting Festival presents a broader range of production, sailing and motor yachts. Monaco narrows the lens to superyachts and the advisory infrastructure around them. Buyers using both events can move from broad discovery to highly qualified project decisions. See our Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 business analysis.
Why Paris still belongs in the story
Paris supplies private banks, legal counsel, luxury brands, designers, insurers, aviation connections and family-office expertise. International owners often combine Monaco with meetings and shopping in the capital. The commercial corridor links Parisian influence to Riviera assets.
The OUISTARS verdict
Monaco Yacht Show 2026 matters because it concentrates rare yachts and the people authorised to move projects forward. The durable opportunities are not only in new hulls. They are in efficiency, refit, data, marinas, crew, charter, security and hospitality: the services that make ownership workable long after Port Hercule returns to normal.
